Orange! |
The stigma or turning orange from stand-up booth tanning (an
example many are familiar with is Mystic
Tan) has rolled over in peoples minds when they think of airbrush tanning.
Because of this stigma or prior bad experiences, this is the
first question we receive many times when we get a new client who has never been
airbrush tanned before.
To start I need to point out
something that many people do not know. If your airbrush tanning technician does
not understand their solution they are spraying on you, it can turn you orange,
come out spotty, smell, and turn you into a walking streaked tan. Having very
well made solution makes a difference between a bad color airbrush tan and
a great color airbrush tan. The tanning technician will from there make you look
good or mess you up completely.
Tanning Booth Mishaps
Let us just say that BOOTH TANNING IS NOT THE SAME
AS AIRBRUSH TANNING. While they are both UV free, booth tanning is performed by a
machine. It is automated tanning that cannot be customized for each individual.
The only options are “bronzer” or “clear” solution. The bottoms of your feet 99%
of the time are not protected from the solution staining your feet dark.
Not to mention, that if the salon clerk isn't cleaning it every time, you will
walk into a puddle of solution.
Nice! Same thing goes for your hands. The blast of air is a bit harsh, therefore causing a
lot of overspray and wasted solution. Hence the solution puddles.
The force of air also causes too much solution build up in some areas of the
skin, so you then need to blot off with a towel. Example: chest, armpits, wrist,
ankles, neck and face. This causes more unevenness in
the skin. If you have large pores, the booth tanning solution will settle in
them, making it look like you have a lot of back heads. Even with the greatest
of care in the machine, you cannot get all the body parts evenly.
Using a sunless booth, you will see more missed and
improperly applied areas on the skin.
Here is an example of an uneven tan:
BOOTH TANNING AND OLD SOLUTION HAS A LONG HISTORY OF BEING KNOWN TO TURN
YOU ORANGE AND UNEVEN.
Airbrush tanning is applied by an airbrush technician.
Because the technician can see where the solution is being applied, the tan
comes out very even, streak free and orange free! There is no need to
blot off with a towel. The amount of solution being sprayed can be adjusted as
needed based on the client’s needs and desired color. If you have dry spots or
oily areas, the technician will see this. Solution can be applied appropriately
and adjusted as necessary in these types of areas. Since the amount of coverage
can be adjusted and customized, your hands and feet will not be dark or turn orange. If you have large pores, the airbrush tan will not settle in them
looking like black heads. Again, EO Tan™ will give you
an even, consistent and natural looking tan. View before and after pictures
for proof.
Airbrush tanning provides precision, responsibility and
separation. Coverage with an airbrush application is more precise because
the technician is carefully applying the solution. With the airbrush
application, the technician is fully responsible for
how the solution is applied. With the sunless booth, the customer watches a
short video on what they need to do while in the booth and if the customer does
something incorrectly while being sprayed in the booth, they’re responsible.
Separate areas of your body can be individually sprayed using the airbrush
system. If you only want your face sprayed once, we can spray just your face
once.
